FAQs

Can my landlord increase the rent at any time?+

In Dubai, rent increases are generally limited by the RERA rental index and require at least 90 days notice before renewal. Other emirates have their own rules. Disputes go to the Rental Dispute Centre or the local rent committee.

How much notice is needed for eviction?+

For eviction at the end of a contract in Dubai (e.g. for personal use or sale), landlords generally must give 12 months notice via notary public or registered mail. Rules vary by emirate and reason.
