Unpaid salary in the UAE: a step-by-step guide

If your salary is late, start by collecting your employment contract, offer letter, payslips, bank statements and any messages with your employer.

Next, raise a complaint with MOHRE through its app or website (or with your free-zone authority). MOHRE will usually invite both sides to an amicable settlement.

If no settlement is reached, the complaint can be referred to the Labour Court. Court fees for workers are generally waived up to certain limits.
