Bounced cheques after the 2022 reform

Since January 2022, the holder of a bounced cheque can generally go straight to the execution judge to recover the unpaid amount, without first filing a full lawsuit.

Most insufficient-funds cases are no longer criminal, but fraud, forgery or deliberate acts can still be.
